Mesotheraphy: The Safe and Effective Non-surgical Alternative to Liposuction

"Mesotherapy is a gift from God"
Roberta Flack, People Magazine, January 2003

Few people would dispute that when you look good, you feel good. Staying physically fit and following a healthy diet are two of the best ways to achieve a fabulous body. Unfortunately, despite working out and eating right, many individuals find themselves unable to attain the results that they would like for their desired body. It is entirely possible to reach your optimum weight and still have problem areas that you cannot change. That is why countless men and women turn to forms of plastic surgery, such as liposuction for help. Liposuction may be the best known treatment for fat deposits, but it does not appeal to everyone. For individuals interested in finding a non-surgical procedure that can target deposits of fat, there is Lipodissolve.

Lipodissolve is a cosmetic treatment that targets and minimizes localized fat and cellulite deposits. The method was developed from mesotherapy, which is the practice of using microinjections of homeopathic or conventional medications into the body to deliver healing or corrective treatment to target areas. The technique of mesotherapy was pioneered in France in 1952 by Dr.Michael Pistor, and was given formal recognition by the French Academy of Medicine in 1987. Mesotherapy has been used as treatment for a number of issues, namely reducing cellulite and fat.

Lipodissolve works much the same way that mesotherapy does, minimizing the deposits of fat with a substance called phosphatidylcholine- a natural substance derived from soy bean lecithin. Phosphatidylcholine is responsible for naturally breaking down fats in our bodies and lipodissolve uses this same process and amplifies it in a targeted area. For this reason, over the course of 3-4 weeks following a lipodissolve session, the body is able to eliminate the residue of the procedure. The side effects are minimal, and may include bruising, itching, swelling or discomfort.

Lipodissolve is achieved using a series of injections that are administered in a clinical setting. Working in this way, the doctor is able to specifically target the problem area and begin the process of eliminating the fat and cellulite. The injections are given over a several week period, with an average of 1 to 4 treatments needed for the desired results. Typically the treatment is given with 14 to 21 day intervals between them.

Lipodissolve is most effective for individuals who are not excessively overweight, but still have problem areas. The areas that respond best to the treatment and show the most noticeable results are the lower eyelids, chin, abdomen, backs of arms, thighs, knees and the back. For individuals interested in a non-surgical procedure that can effectively rid the body of problem areas, such as love handles, lipodissolve is the best option. The treatment is safe and does not require a general anesthetic or stitching afterwards. The localized injections allow for maximum control of the procedure. In fact, lipodissolve is now widely used to correct cosmetic surgery imperfections.
