Liposculpture Surgery

Liposuction, lipoplasty, liposculpture; no matter what you call it, it is an increasingly popular cosmetic surgery procedure that can help sculpt the body by removing unwanted and excessive body fat from certain areas of the body, such as the abdomen, thighs, arms, neck, chest, and buttocks. Contrary to popular belief, liposculpture surgery is not merely a process of removing fat from the body. Liposculpture surgery is an extremely intricate art form where the surgeon transforms the figure and physique of the patient. As the name implies, the plastic surgeon sculpts and removes the fat to create a beautiful, well-defined, and tightened form. Liposculpture is not limited to any one area, as arm liposuction, abdominal liposuction, neck liposuction, and chest liposuction are common procedures I perform at my Beverly Hills liposuction office.

As a board-certified plastic surgeon, I treat all my liposuction treatments as liposculture treatments, recontouring areas of the body to create a beautiful, well-defined figure exterior that my patients are proud to show off. New innovations in medical technologies provide for many liposculpture options, which I discuss with my patients at my Beverly Hills liposuction office. The most common procedure I prefer – and am an outspoken advocate of – is pure tumescent liposuction. Tumescent liposuction is a relatively new method that far safer and documents far fewer complications than traditional means. In addition to this procedure, my expertise lies in power assisted liposuction (PAL), Ultrasound assisted liposuction (UAL), and water assisted liposuction (WAL).

My Beverly Hills liposuction method is what distinguishes me from other surgeons. Each procedure is assessed and approached on a patient to patient basis. While other doctors use cookie cutter methods to contour the shape of the body, I first analyze the condition of each patient and work my procedure around each unique patient. Many of my procedures are in fact revision liposuction cases to correct the poor craftsmanship done by other liposuction surgeons. My aim is to help my patients achieve their ideal body, and my unique approach help them attain great results.

Your Liposuction Procedure

With any type of procedure, it is critical that you become as informed on the matter as possible. Liposculpture surgery is a procedure is which excess fat is removed from the body via a cannula, a hollow tube connected to a liposuction machine that works to melt, dissolve, and suck fat out of the area. The machinery and tools are first cleaned prior to the procedure to reduce risks of complications. One-time use cannulas are sealed and sterilized to prevent exposure to contaminants, and are immediately disposed of after liposculpture. First, the patient goes under local anesthesia to minimize discomfort during his or her procedure. The, a tiny incision – roughly 1/8 to ½ inch each, depending on the procedure – is made on the skin and the smallest possible cannula is inserted into the area as to minimize trauma and scarring on the site. The cannula is inserted deep into the fatty layer to remove fat. This drastically reduces chances of having a lumpy, uneven end result. Rather than approaching the targeted area from one access point, I always crisscross the tunnels from at least two to four directions to remove fat uniformly throughout the area. This helps decrease the chances of uneven fat removal from the site. I finish using a very small spatula cannula to even out the skin surface. This helps drastically improve the texture and create a seamless layer throughout.

The goal of my Beverly Hills liposuction procedures is to create optimal results by removal of stubborn fat deposits on select areas of the body. I implement a skin tightening procedure before sutures and stitches are set in place to complement the surgery and to create a new tight, well-defined body. I advise all interested parties that liposculpture surgery is not for everyone. Due to the invasive nature and possible risks involved in liposuction, I assess all my patients and provide consultation to individuals interested before going under the knife. It is critical to note that liposculpture surgery is a procedure for fat removal for certain areas, and is not intended as a weight loss solution, nor is it an alternative to a healthy diet or regular exercise. The ideal candidate is an individual in good health, has firm, elastic skin, and has had no previous surgery on or around the thigh area. The said candidate would have a healthy physique and falls within 10-20 pounds of his or her ideal weight and is looking to remove stubborn fat deposits to create more defined, proportional body. If you meet the requirements and are a good liposculpture candidate, I can work on sculpting your body using either tumescent liposuction, laser liposuction, or a combination of both. Many of my patients are in relatively healthy shape and need help getting rid of stubborn fat that does not go away with a healthy diet and regular exercise. The aim of each of my procedures is to remove fat from certain areas to complement and be proportional to the rest of the body.

My liposuction expertise is not merely limited to certain areas of the body, as I specialize in arm liposuction, abdominal liposuction, chin liposuction, thigh liposuction, buttocks liposuction, neck liposuction, chest liposuction, and many more. Regardless of what area I am working on, my philosophy is the same; each patient must be assessed by body type and medical history to find the best approach. I use multiple access points to liposuction out unwanted fat in a crisscross motion to create a uniform overall look; a method seldom used by other liposuction surgeons.
