When looking for the best liposuction doctor, patients need to consider several factors. First, investigate the education and experience of surgeons and read about the liposuction procedure. The surgeon should perform a thorough evaluation on your body type as well as health history. It is critical that you be very candid with your surgeon about factors or medical conditions you have that may affect your liposuction results. Be wary of “cheap” liposuctions or gimmicks that promise quick results. When it comes to finding the best doctor to perform a procedure as delicate and invasive as liposuction, don’t take your chances by trying to save money. Choose a surgeon who has a reputation for quality, low revision rates and can deliver excellent, realistic results.

In addition, the patient should think about what kind of anesthesia the doctor uses. Dr. Amron prefers using tumescent liposuction rather than general anesthesia, which limits a surgeon’s access to the body. Tumescent liposuction allows for more patient mobility. The doctor can ask the patient to position themselves so the doctor has better access to the area being treated.

The patient should also ask what incisions the doctor prefers to make. For instance, some doctors will only make an incision through the belly button when doing abdominal liposuction. However Dr. Amron choose to make several, smaller incisions. The abdomen is a notoriously difficult region to perform liposuction on. With increased incisions, the best liposuction doctor can create a smooth, sculpted look. With one incision, the range is limited and this may lead to irregularities.

The patient should also read about liposuction and consider the recovery process. Would the patient prefer taping to compression garments? What about exercise, flying, and working after surgery? This may also help the patient narrow down the best liposuction doctor.

The most important aspect when choosing the best liposuction doctor is that the patient feels comfortable with their surgeon. Is this person approachable? Did they answer all the questions and address all the concerns?

Keeping these factors in mind can help patients choose the best liposuction doctor for them.

Cosmetic liposuction requires much consideration on the part of the patient, as it is and invasive procedure. For this reason, patients need to do their research to fully understand cosmetic liposuction and possible complications that may arise. Liposuction can yield excellent results and significantly improve upon the patient’s proportion and tone.

The patient should schedule an initial consultation with a cosmetic liposuction surgeon. The patient should get an overview from the surgeon about how to prepare, what to expect during the surgery, the healing process and what to expect from the results. The patient should feel that the doctor is approachable and ensure that all of their concerns are addressed. During the procedure, the doctor may either administer local or general anesthesia. Dr. David Amron prefers to use local (tumescent) anesthesia, it allows for patient mobility and helps him achieve optimal results. This allows for a smoother, more contoured look and affords the liposuction surgeon more control over the procedure.

The procedure time varies with the number of areas being treated (usually one to three), the surgeon’s experience and the size of the areas.

Cosmetic liposuction is not about aggressive fat removal and is not a quick fix for weight problems. Rather, it is used to reduce stubborn fat deposits and to make the body more proportional.

The surgeon will use a cannula, to break up and remove fat. It is inserted through tiny incisions, which are just millimeters long and is moved to break up and remove fat from the body. These incisions heal well and are barely noticeable.

Bruising and swelling will subside in a few days, although full results won’t be seen for six to twelve months. The patients are usually back at work and their exercise routines within a week or so. The patient will have to wear a compression garment following the surgery to speed healing.

Liposuction in Beverly Hills has become an increasingly common procedure. Although it is not a quick fix for weight loss and it is definitely not a replacement for a healthy lifestyle, liposuction in Beverly Hills allows patients to reduce stubborn fat areas, sculpt their bodies and regain self-confidence. Liposuction is about balancing the proportion of the body as well as removing genetically disproportionate areas of fat storage.

Dr. David Amron will begin with an initial consultation to determine whether you are a good candidate for liposuction in Beverly Hills. Liposuction is not a procedure reserved only for the overweight, and not all overweight patients are good candidates. A person who has a thin build can be an excellent candidate if he or she is disproportionate. If the patient diets and exercises and still has stubborn areas that do not go away, e.g., the love handles, thighs, or abdominal fat, then liposuction may be an option. Dr. Amron is strongly against performing surgery on a person who is simply overweight but is proportionate, as it can yield undesirable results.

Most patients report feeling a pinching sensation during the surgery. The surgery is not about removing all the fat in the treated area. Rather, the doctor will shape and sculpt the body to look more proportional to the body. Too much fat removal can cause the body to look distorted.

After liposuction in Beverly Hills, the patient is awake and able to move around. Doctors, like Dr. Amron, will ask the patient to take a two mile walk the day following the surgery to increase blood flow and speed healing. In addition, the patient will need to wear compression garments, which will reduce swelling and also speed healing. Most patients are able to return to work in a couple of days and get back to their normal exercise routine within a week.

Swelling and bruising will start to subside within a few days, with full results visible in six to twelve months. If the patient gains weight, the weight will not distribute on the treated area as fat cells have been removed.

Committing to liposuction is an important decision that demands caution and knowledge. While some easy weight loss solutions may seem appealing, it is important to do your research. Optimally, liposuction surgery should be a one-time procedure, and choosing a quality and experienced surgeon should be your top priority. The overall success of your liposuction surgery depends heavily upon choosing the right surgeon. In the hands of a highly skilled surgeon, you can expect to see beautiful, natural-looking results.

Beverly Hills Liposuction specialist Dr. David Amron understands that earning the trust of his patients is important in establishing a proper relationship with them. It is through this trust and understanding that helps Dr. Amron achieve optimal results. When selecting the right surgeon for your liposuction procedure, it is important that you research both the procedure and doctor to minimize chances of complication. With a procedure as delicate as liposuction surgery, the quality and experience of the surgeon should be a priority so you achieve your desired results the first time.

When going into your consultation, it is wise to come in prepared with questions and a general understanding of your procedure so you can learn early on if the surgeon is the best choice for you. If your surgeon is hesitant or provides vague answers, that may be a good indication to look elsewhere. Your liposuction surgeon should discuss your procedure relative to your body type, as well as potential risks involved in the procedure. Ask to see before and after pictures to see what type of results your surgeon produces, as well as for a good idea of what to expect post- liposuction .

Lastly, one of the most important things to look for in your liposuction surgeon is that he is a board-certified. Liposuction surgery is an extremely delicate procedure, but if you find a board-certified surgeon who has employs good technique and judgment, you should expect to see excellent results. Do your research before even considering liposuction and you can avoid serious complications.

After liposuction, it is common to experience swelling, bruising, and soreness in the days following the procedure. Recovery time for liposuction patients is variable, and depends on the individual patient as well as how aggressive the surgeon was during the procedure. Usually, during post-op recovery, my patients are able to resume daily activities and return to work within 1-3 days. Depending on the size of the treated area as well as your body type, some procedures can take months to fully heal due to swelling and soreness. In the first 24 hours after tumescent liposuction, the anesthetic solution from surgery will drain from the body through the surgical incisions. This is not a cause for alarm, as it is very common. In fact, this drainage helps facilitate healing and reduces recovery time. Slight stiffness and soreness is also common and will go away on their own.

In my practice, I would say that in 90 percent of my patients, they have little to no bruising or soreness after liposuction, and for the 10 percent of my patients that do, these symptoms tend to go away in about two weeks.

Most of my patients are able to return to their daily activities within two days and can resume their exercise routine within one to two weeks. Rarely do I have a patient who is very sore and stiff several weeks later. Sometimes this can persist if there is trauma to the area or if there has been a lot of irritation to the skin from the liposuction procedure, but should go away on its own. Massaging the affected area can help to soften up some of the stiffness and any potential slight scar tissue underneath the skin as well as help to reduce the soreness.

Slight stiffness and soreness following your liposuction procedure is no cause for alarm, as the body is still in recovery. During this time, do not overexert yourself, which may prolong the healing process. Within days you should be able to go back to work and resume work and exercise.

A cannula is tube inserted into the body via an incision on the skin used to remove fat during liposuction. When liposuction was first developed, the trend was to use large cannulas of 6 mm in size or greater. Over the past couple of decades there has been a trend to using much smaller (micro) cannulas to perform liposuction surgery. I find personally that it is important to use micro-cannulas at the surface which are usually only 2 mm in diameter. For the deeper removal of fat, to de-bulk the deeper layers typically, I prefer to use cannulas at approximately 3 mm in size during liposuction. As I gradually move up in the fat layer towards the surface of the skin I change over to using a very small micro cannula to fine-tune the surface of the skin. I personally find that using a very small spatula cannula at the surface of the skin is ideal to obtain a very smooth contour of the surface of the skin and to control exactly how much retraction of skin I choose to get into each area.

A common question I receive from patients looking into liposuction is whether they are a good candidate for the procedure. A good liposuction candidate is a patient who has disproportionate fat storages. Another way of looking at this is the patient’s stubborn areas that never seemed to come off with diet and exercise. If a person is disproportionate those areas are usually the first areas that get fat and the last areas if ever to come off with diet and exercise. This is an ideal candidate for liposuction. In addition a good candidate is a patient who has quite good elastic skin tone. When a patient has good elastic skin tone, it allows the surgeon to be more aggressive in those areas. If a person has just simply looseness of the skin or possibly the muscle, liposuction surgery may not be indicated and as the skin elasticity decreases and becomes more wrinkled the surgeon himself should be more conservative in terms of the fat removal with respect for that skin. If the skin elasticity is too poor, liposuction may not be the best way to approach it as it can cause more wrinkling of the skin.

If used properly, the local anesthesia (commonly referred to as tumescent anesthesia), poses no serious complications during liposuction. Some patients may experience some swelling and bruising, but the symptoms often go away on their own. These results fade in a matter of days, if not hours. The most common complication is irregularities or unevenness in the area post-liposuction, but with a skilled surgeon, the risk of complication can be easily avoided. To minimize the risk of undesired results, I urge those looking into liposuction to do prior research on the surgeon and procedure.

Some patients may experience bleeding, bruising and swelling during and after their liposuction. These complications can be minimized by first assessing the patients’ respective body types and using instruments and techniques in relation to this. Proper evaluation of each patient is important to ensure the liposuction goes as smoothly as possible. If your liposuction surgeon approaches your body correctly, the bruising and swelling should be minimal and should not interfere with the patient’s activity following the day of surgery. Post-liposuction, your surgeon should discuss limitations and your recovery process. The patient should be very delicate to the body during the recovery period to minimize swelling, bruising, and bleeding.

Other common complications that may arise are irregularities, asymmetry, or unevenness in the liposuction area. To ensure good results, the doctor should use different access points depending on the area to achieve a uniform outcome. Your surgeon should use proper judgment in making the smallest, least amount of incisions possible to not only achieve desired results, but to minimize visible scarring. In addition, a tumescent procedure that employs local anesthesia helps to avoid complications by allowing the surgeon to better sculpt the patient’s body. Under general anesthesia, the limited mobility of the patient restricts the doctor from accessing the best points on the body to ensure evenness.

If you have any allergies or complications that may affect your liposuction procedure, be sure to communicate that with your surgeon. With good judgment and an open relationship with your surgeon, your risks of liposuction complications can be drastically reduced.

There are two ways to approach the abdomen through abdominal liposuction, through the central abdomen and through the upper, lower abdomen, waist and flanks. The central abdomen consists of the upper and lower abdomen, and they need to be done as a unit to ensure evenness and tightness. When doing abdominal liposuction at his Beverly Hills office, Dr. David Amron achieves the best result by evaluating his patients carefully. For instance, with patients with less skin elasticity, he approaches the deeper fat levels to avoid jabbing the skin, which may cause irregularities and dimpling. Irregularities can also be avoided by making more than one incision point, which promotes evenness. The second area includes the waist and flanks. It is important to define the waist and not just tighten the abdominals. This waist sculpting provides a perfect example of why tumescent procedures where the patient is awake are more desirable. The patient can position themselves in an optimal way to allow the surgeon to sculpt perfectly. In regards to pregnancies and liposuction, Dr. David Amron prefers to do abdominal liposuction in Los Angeles prior to pregnancy to capitalize on better skin elasticity.
